My dream has always been to have my own race team. For those of you who don’t know, I grew up in Europe avidly following all forms of racing — Formula 1 and MotoGP especially, but also rally and other racing sports. I just can’t get enough of motorcycle road racing, and although I’ve jumped in and out of the sport (including racing myself), my passion has grown beyond obsession these days.

Vondari Racing is still in its infancy, seeing as it officially started last year. We’ve achieved a lot in that year. The reason we’ve achieved so much is because everyone involved with the team is extremely passionate about what they do and what they believe in, and in return they give their all because they choose to. That makes a world of difference in all areas, not just the team but with our supporters as well.

So, to our fans new and old, thank you for your support last year when we were first getting going. We wondered what was going to happen — would we even have fans, would we be colorful or successful enough, or would we just be an afterthought? I can honestly say you all have been GREAT. By hanging out online, watching us here on Facebook or even better at the track, it makes a difference to the riders and the crew. We try to do our best to show our appreciation in person, and through our race reports here. We have some big plans for this year, so stay tuned. Personally, I am humbled to have such a big following, and thank each and every one of you.

While I’m thanking everyone, I don’t want to forget the unsung heroes: the crew. You are the greatest people I could ever ask for and have ever had the privilege to work with. You all do so much behind the scenes that people don’t even realize, and that’s what makes our paddock area so relaxed and laid back. You have my complete trust, which makes my job that much easier, believe me!
