Racing Winners!

The Racers

Alex Shaw: Alex joined Vondari Racing midway through last season, and we're really looking forward to working more closely with him this year. Alex is a born racer and champion, having nabbed a national juniors off road title in 2004, and he was quick to rise from amateur to expert in CCS. We were screaming with him when he earned the national overall number 1 plate in the ASRA endurance racing last year. When he's not racing, Alex enjoys going jeeping, hanging out with his friends and family, and hanging with his girl Marissa. We hope he's prepared himself mentally as well as physically this off season, as we have no doubt that the constant teasing that Craig endured from Constantine and Danny will transfer to him. We don't want either of you spoiled!

Craig Woratyla: Craig joined Vondari Racing as expert #420 in 2009, garnering an expert license after a single season as an amateur. At only 18 years old, he nabbed six titles last year and the number 5 plate overall in the CCS Mid Atlantic region. Craig dreams of racing, but in his off time he enjoys drumming and hanging out with his girl Dolly. He'll be running a few races this summer unofficially, as he will be leaving for a two year church mission sometime this year. His humor and smile will be missed in the paddock, and we can't wait for him to return safely home. We have included him here because, in his own words, "every website needs more Craig." We're very proud of your decision, but we'll miss you buddy!

Danny Ronca aka The Angry Snowman: Danny joined Vondari Racing officially this year, but the #843 bike was a familiar sight in our paddock last year. We are excited to have Danny on board, because he's a talented racer and a great person to have in the pits. When he's not racing, Danny is a firefighter in New Rochelle NY, the official Vondari Racing pizza delivery man, and an all-around great person.

Marea Heck: It might be Marea's first season racing on her #16 amateur bike, but she's no stranger to Vondari Racing. She's married to the team tire vendor, and proud momma of our very own Craig. We are delighted to be around for her first season racing, and can't wait to see her out on the track. Like Constantine, she's a former Marine and has racing in her blood. She works for the government still when she's not on the track. Without her kids, she's nothing, and that includes the four dogs and her husband Dale (just kidding Dale!).

The Crew

Constantine Vondari: raised in Europe, Constantine grew up not far from the Isle of Man and fell in love with speed. He followed racing of any and all kind, especially Formula 1, Rally, and MotoGP. But it was motorcycle racing that caught his passion. If it wasn't for this life-long passion, Vondari Racing wouldn't exist. He enjoys working with racers from all walks of life, and is always quick to help a fellow racer, even a direct competitor. After all, he wants to beat everyone fair and square on the track, not in the paddock. In the off season, Constantine plays with the VonDoggies, tinkers with his enduro, dreams about his 1989 Suburban restoration project, and badgers his wife incessantly about racing.

Jason McEwan: We are delighted to have Jason on board for the 2010 season. An engineering student at NoVa, Jason is an avid motorcycle fan (in fact, he rivals Constantine in his passion for bikes). Last year, he was even a tire marshal at the AMA races. He counts Hayden, Yates, Hayes, Cardenas, and Eslick as among his favorite racers. In fact, last year he even followed the local CCS circuit and was delighted to meet Constantine at the New Jersey AMA round, where his knowledge and enthusiasm caught Constantine's eye. Jason is hoping that the experience working with the race team pays off, as his dream job is working as a motorcycle engineer. Jason's a busy guy, between his job, his schooling, and now his team, but we're always on the lookout: he's single. So email a headshot and cover letter to info@vondariracing.com. Must be a single female with a motorcycle license.

Ian Betts: Ian is a familiar face in the paddock, but wasn't around in support much last year due to knee surgery last summer. He is a fixture at the Vondari garage parties, and will be joining us from time to time this season in support of Constantine and Jason. A former engineering student, in his spare time Ian is the Director of Interactive Design at a local creative agency. He's an avid Ducati man, with a wicked carbon fiber Monster 900. He enjoys rugby, photography, lager, and chillaxing with his furry friends.

Kerry Holeman: A long-time motorcyclist, Kerry joined the Vondari Racing team by designing our new website. Originally a mid-westerner she has also enjoyed living in San Francisco before coming to the DC Metro area. She favors the Shoei pure orange helmet (but wishes it had an integated sun visor) and likes all things bacon. If you like what you see on our site, Kerry is for hire.

Lucy Wesson: Our team manager and marketing director came to motorcycling late in life, but when it took hold, it took hold hard. Of course, having to listen to Constantine constantly whine and mope when he's not at the track will drive anyone to a motorcycle. Unlike the rest of the team, her busy season starts in August, and doesn't let up until February as she does everything in her power to keep our old sponsors and manage to get new ones on board. In fact, as busy as she is during a race weekend, it's almost a vacation compared to the off season. In her spare time, she is followed everywhere by the two velcro VonDoggies. Email her at lucy@vondariracing.com.

Jada Mae VonDoggie: Jada Mae is a familiar sight for most fans. A Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Jada truly loves going to the track. As the team's official front brake inspector, she plays an important role in the paddock in addition to her duties as official spokesdog of Vondari Racing. In her spare time, she enjoys tormenting her smaller sister Munchkin, eating Kerry's homemade bacon treats, begging for food at the track, and generally espousing her philosophy that all you need is love.

Munchkin VonDoggie: Munchkin is new to the Vondari family, joining us by way of HART90. She is an avid squirrel hunter and enjoys leaping on the unsuspecting Jada at random times. She also enjoys barking not at strangers but at people she knows, running in circles, stealing socks in the night, and snuggling. As a rescue dog, she is still being socialized and probably won't be joining us at the track until 2011.
